Attending AOIC was a transformative experience for me. When I first enrolled, I was seeking to deepen my understanding of the Bible and to expand my skills in ministry.

The curriculum was rigorous yet enriching, and deep yet challenging. We delved into biblical languages, theology, and church history, each subject deepening my appreciation for the richness of the Bible. The lecturers were not just educators; they were mentors who challenged us to think critically about our faith. Their passion for the Word was contagious, inspiring me to pursue my studies with passion. The diverse perspectives in my classes enriched my understanding and taught me the importance of humility and grace.

These experiences were vital in shaping my calling and equipping me for future ministry.

Ultimately, Bible college was more than just an educational journey; it was a time of spiritual growth, community building, and personal discovery. I left with a deeper understanding of the Bible, a stronger faith, and meaningful friendships. The experience not only prepared me for ministry but also instilled in me a lifelong commitment to learning and serving. I am grateful for the foundation it provided as I continue my journey in faith.

Master of Arts in Ministry, 2024

My journey with AOIC began when I was seeking to deepen my understanding of counselling and explore how it could be effectively integrated into my pastoral ministry. I wanted to equip myself to better serve others in the ministry, and AOIC’s Master in Arts of Pastoral Counselling course seemed like a well-suited option for what I had in mind.

This course provided me with an in-depth understanding of various counselling theories, teaching me how to integrate them into my pastoral ministry. A significant takeaway was learning to discern and modify theories to ensure they align with the Word of God, which I believe is crucial when counselling people with a Christian perspective.

One of the most impactful experiences was building friendships with classmates from other churches. Sharing our lives and experiences as we studied together enriched my journey. The internship, though initially intimidating, proved invaluable. Being able to practice what I learned with real clients was both a challenge and an eye-opening experience. The group supervision sessions, especially observing Dr. Pei Li in action, were unforgettable. I learned so much from her approach and from my mistakes, as well as the insights shared by my peers.

For anyone considering this program, I would say it is a practical way to grow if you’re involved in ministry. The knowledge you gain here will equip you to journey with others toward wholeness in Christ.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. Pei Li, the lecturers who imparted so much wisdom, and my classmates and group mates whose support and camaraderie have been an incredible blessing throughout this journey.

Master of Arts in Pastoral Counselling, 2024

I, Sri Ganeswaran A/L Davadas, thank the Almighty Lord for letting me learn about the Kingdom of God and complete part of my journey with God by completing my Bachelor of Theology. The ups and downs in life had taken a toll on my journey with God, and around 2017, I was losing my vision of Christ and getting myself into trouble. In 2019, I was directed to AOIC by my church Pastor, also an Alumni of AOIC. The journey of learning at AOIC actually saved me from the path that I was on. I believe that the quality education provided at AOIC brought me back on the right track and even closer to God; with proper guidance from all the lecturers from the Tamil and English departments, I would like to say that they did an excellent job teaching the Bible truthfully. The whole online learning process was also an added advantage for me, and I believe most graduates would agree that it has made life easier and more accessible for distance learners like me.

Knowing and understanding that I cannot live without God was the first step that brought me to learn the Word of God. This learning journey has become a powerful motivation in my life, especially in God's ministry that I am involved in, the people around me, and my friends in the marketplace, not forgetting my wife and son. Qualified educators and quality education have also helped me immensely in my ministry and growing as a child of God. So much so that I am currently enrolled for my MDiv at AOIC; I hope this college will keep on growing and helping young leaders, especially those in ministry and people who genuinely want to learn and understand scripture truthfully.

I must also thank the entire team at AOIC - you have made an impact on my life. I hope God will bless and use each of us for His Glory. To him be all Glory. Amen!

I joined AOIC because I was looking for a learning institution that integrates psychology and theology. I wanted to learn about human behaviour in light of God’s word and what He has to say. Since joining AOIC, I have learnt much from my lecturers, course-mates and course contents. I appreciate the diverse coverage of my studies. It gives me a broad scope of what I may encounter in life and ministry. As hard to believe as it is, the part where I learnt the most was doing assignments! Most of them give me much stress as I have to plough through materials to respond to the requirements of the questions. Nevertheless, the reality is this process that helped me grow the most.

Besides this, the many class discussions have added to the richness of my learning journey. In addition, I am appreciative that all my lecturers are practitioners in their areas of expertise. They don’t just teach from their head but from their hearts and hands (experiences). I would encourage all to consider taking this learning journey with AOIC. You will surely become a better person! Lastly, I want to thank my husband, my son for being so patient while I had to spend many nights completing my assignments; and to my extended family for being there to support me. Lastly, I thank Jesus Christ, my Savior friend who walked with me to complete this enriching learning journey. To Him to be Glory!
